STUARTS: SPONSORS OF RELAY FOR LIFE BREAST CANCER AWARENESS LAP
Stuarts Property Services are the proud sponsors of the breast cancer awareness lap at Stockport’s relay for life 2018 on the 7th – 8th of July at Cheadle Cricket Club/The Kingsway High School. This event is very dear to the staff here at Stuarts with us participating for the past 14 years… and counting!
The Relay for Life is a 24-hour event where teams from all over Stockport gather and walk around a track for a continuous 24 hours to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Every year for the past 14 years we have gathered at various sites and taken part in this fantastic event for such an important cause. All money raised goes directly to Cancer Research to give them the support they need to continue the much-appreciated research in to finding a cure for cancer.
Over the years the Relay for Life has collectively raised over £2.5m for Cancer Research UK. This staggering amount has helped so much more than anyone could ever imagine. Unlike a lot of charities Cancer Research UK receives no government funding making the work we do and the money we raise so important.
In addition to participating in Relay for Life we have been in all the shops on the high street of Cheadle village and asked the shop owners to hang a bra and poster (provided by us) to raise awareness for Breast Cancer – so if you see some bras in the shop windows… now you know why!
This year we here at Stuarts and friends of have decided to create a team called the ‘Forget me Not’s’ in memory of all those we have lost to this terrible disease. Our page can be found via the link at the bottom of this page, donations are greatly appreciated, and every single penny helps.
