Signpost Stockport for Carers receive a donation from Stuarts Homes
For several years Stuarts Homes have looked at a ‘Greener’ approach to sending Christmas Cards. Whilst Christmas cards are delightful to receive, Stuarts Homes would rather send their ‘Seasons Greetings’ digitally – putting the cost of sending cards in the post to greater use. This Stuarts Homes have donated £200.00 to ‘Signpost Stockport for carers’ instead of choosing to send Christmas cards to their clients in in the post .
‘’Signpost Stockport for Carers is an independent local charity which provides free, confidential information and support to unwaged carers in Stockport. A carer is anyone who provides help and support to a friend, neighbour or relative who could not manage otherwise because of frailty, illness, addiction or disability. Very often people do not recognise themselves as ‘carers’; they just think of themselves as family members, friends or neighbours. A carer may not always live with the person they care for, but their help can often be essential in enabling that person to go on living independently
