SAFEagent has been set up for the rental property industry and is recognised by the government. When you pay your rent every month you can be assured that this money is safe and put into a ring- fenced client account, this will then be paid across to the Landlord and not spent elsewhere. Your Agent or Landlord could steal your money and you have no comeback. It’s a bit like booking a holiday with a firm without ABTA or ATOL.
Your money is at risk if your letting agent does not have Client Money Protection in place.
